Yonex takes over Open stringing duties

Yonex has been named the official stringer of the Australian Open tennis tournament, replacing Wilson.

Yonex staff will be on site at Melbourne Park during January's Grand Slam for around three weeks, providing stringing services for every stage of the tournament from qualifying to the men's and women's finals.

The first Grand Slam of the tennis calendar, starts on January 18 at Melbourne Park.

Yonex tennis and badminton is distributed in Australia by Melbourne-based Gray-Nicolls where Brand Manager Greg Orvis has been looking after the brand for many years.

The Yonex team expect to re-string more than 4000 racquets during the massive event.
