Volleyball greets the world with new deal
Travel group Helloworld has signed on as the major sponsor of Volleyball Australia for the next four years.
The deal which covers the men's and women's national teams for indoor and beach volleyball included one of the biggest beach volleyball events in Australia since the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
"Volleyfest' will see the helloworld Volleyroos compete in the Four Nations Cup and the Asian Beach Volleyball Championships held on Manly Beach from March18- 28 where 24 international teams participated in preparation for the 2016 Rio Olympics in August.
Helloworld will also support the Australian indoor volleyball teams, as they head to Japan for the Olympic qualifiers in June.
Says Helloworld chief executive, Andrew Burnes "Our volleyballers are the quiet achievers of the Australian sporting landscape yet the prowess of our men's and women's national teams is extraordinary."
"Helloworld is also enthusiastic about supporting the game at a grass-roots level across Australia."
Volleyball Australia President Craig Carracher said Helloworld's sponsorship deal is a major boost to the sport.
"Volleyball is the number one gender-equal sport in Australia. With Helloworld's support, we can continue to grow and increase participation at all levels."
"Sponsorship activation" company Bastion EBA has been engaged to leverage the helloworld Volleyroos sponsorship.
As part of the on-going sponsorship plan, Bastion EBA will reach the relevant target audience through creative activity for Helloworld, says Carracher.
Return on Investment and driving results are to form the basis of activity around the sponsorship.
