HK trade show launches into activewear

With the growing emphasis on health and quality of life, demand for functional clothing for outdoor activities is climbing and many companies will be showing this category at Hong Kong Fashion Week in early July.

Men are increasingly concerned with their wardrobes. According to Euromonitor, global menswear sales are estimated to have grown by 2.8 percent to US$441.3 billion in 2012, outpacing the growth of women’s wear. Private labels are growing fast .

The fair offers a one-stop-shop for all fashion, accessories and fabrics merchandising needs for global buyers, including the new Activewear zone to tap into the dynamic market.

Last year, Hong Kong Fashion Week for spring/summer attracted 1,268 exhibitors from 20 countries and regions, and produced a strong visitor turnout, with over 17,000 buyers from 76 countries and regions attending.

Fashion designers from Hong Kong and overseas will present their latest collections in fashion parades, including design talents from Australia, the Chinese mainland, Indonesia and Macau.
