Erika is Running Bare's new face

Award-winning Australian active lifestyle brand, Running Bare has named high profile model Erika Heynatz as the new face of Running Bare’s spring/ summer09 campaign.

Brand manager Natalie Powell reports she is thrilled to have Erika front the campaign, saying “she is a great fit – along with her personal fitness pursuits, she embodies the fresh, healthy and aspirational look that Running Bare has become so synonymous with over the years.”

Shot by photographer Simon Lekias, the campaign reflects a lifestyle philosophy for women who are confident, energetic and interested in their health.

Following a successful career as an international model, Erika is well known for her work as a TV presenter, most notably as the host of the first series of “Australia's Next Top Model” and as co-host of singing competition show “It Takes Two”, after winning the competition the previous year.

The Running Bare spring/summer 09 collection takes inspiration from the world stage and its many female film icons, an energetic and stylish gym collection featuring all your essential gym gear needs.

Says Powell, “The collection is a tribute to Hollywood's icons over several ages reflecting a range of glamorous and lavish styles from combat shorts and shirred capri pants, to stylish crops and singlets” in glowing colours and essential monotones.

“This collection is our largest summer sell-in to date, with double digit sales growth on summer 2008 and the brand is 26 years young this year.”

• And that award? Running Bare won the 2009 gold apparel supplier of the year at the recent Ascendia Group conference on the Gold Coast, a thrill for the  brand competing with major international brands  in the Rebel Sport and Amart Allsports stores.
