Boxing brand Sting adds Rio to Games rollcall
Melbourne-based boxing and fitness brand Sting Sports has reached the pinnacle - the company has been selected to supply equipment to the 2016 Olympics.
As the official AIBA boxing glove supplier for Rio, this crowns the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games and many other national and international boxing events including the 2014 women's world championships and the inaugural AIBA pro boxing tournament in Europe.
The selection of Sting Sports as official supplier was announced at the International Boxing Association's congress in Korea and Communications Manager Richard Jeans reports, "The Olympics is always a special time, but it will take on a whole new level of excitement for us in 2016."
Sting Sports has exhibited its ranges of boxing, training and fitness equipment at the four Fitness and Health expos held around the country by Diversified Communications Australia.
The annual programme includes the leading event, held in Melbourne in April, with the Perth, Sydney and Brisbane events co-located with the QFit fitness professional conference, closely following each other in late September and October.
Established in 2003, the Sting brand is distributed in NZ, South Pacific, UK and Ireland, UAE, Finland, Italy and India.
